The Last Supper

Precisely one year ago I documented the re-enactment of Da Vinci’s The Last Supper by a group from The Art Organisation. The process took place over three days, leading up to the final click of a large format camera shutter by photographers Mccoy Wynne. In embedding myself in the space over that time, I developed an approach to my filming, deciding early on not to use any interviews, and finding a mixtures of camera movement styles based on how I was feeling in response to the action.
The final image and the video document will be shown in gallery 1 at FACT, Liverpool, as part of The Art Organisation’s take over of the space on Maundy Thursday (9th April). I will also be showing the video at View Two Gallery to a Christian discussion group on Wednesday 8th April, 7pm. All welcome. Further representations of Da Vinci’s piece can be found here.

Let me guess, Greg was Jesus, right?
